Dofí (dolphin) is the nickname René Barbier gave Álvaro Palacios when he was starting out. The name also refers to the vineyard that produces this iconic and internationally celebrated wine made from low-yielding old vines. A dolphin juggling a ball illustrates the classically styled label by Xavier Bas. The new lettering reinforces the marine references and their relationship to the mascot through the decorative texture of the letters, the way the «fi» ligature plays with the accent, and the movement and expression of the serifs. The symmetrical structure of the wordmark gives consistency to the overall composition of the elements on the label.
